Course Description

This course seeks to help students understand design as a tool for ideation, research and validation as related to business strategy and development.

Course Objectives

Research: Students will engage in current research and collection tools for early “discovery” research objectives. This would cover the grey area between subjective and objective research observations. Methods of service design would be discussed as a framework for early product development and discovery.

Ideation: Students will learn how to use a visual and derivative process that is responsive to current technologies and actual user experience. Through Ideation students will also learn when and how to scope work for design professionals.
